While the Catholic Church all over the World was celebrating the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the IMC Kenyan regional house members joined Fr. Tobias de Oliveira, the local superior, in wishing Fr. Antonio Bianchi a very happy celebration of his 66 years of priesthood. As tradition, we started remembering our Confrere during the Holy Mass in the morning and in the evening prayers. Although a part of Kenya is facing food shortages, in our community during supper we were blessed to find at least nice cake, ice cream, well cooked meat of beef, sukumawiki, cool drink and a good wine to accompany our M’Zee (Senior Citizen). “Glory, honour and Praise be given to the Almighty God forever and ever because He is looking after us”, said Fr. Antonio Bianchi. As recall, Fr. Antonio Bianchi is one of our Confreres, born in Italy, particularly in Verbania on June 13, 1922. He was ordained on August 15, 1945. The entire community congratulated Fr. Bianchi on this special occasion.
