Time keeps on going quickly. We have already completed 11 years of temporary religious profession! This makes me to draw a small picture of that moment. On December 29, 1998 we initiated our novitiate in Maputo (Mozambique). In general, we were nine novices: Fernando M’Zee Paolo da Conceicao and Leandro Chequela (Mozambicans); Kuzenza Daudi Faustine, Msumange Godfrey and Brown Mvanda Cyprian (Tanzanians) and lastly Kayembe Cyrille, Bakomba Valentin, Bambilikpinga David and Bilwala Jean-Marie (Congolese).
Besides, we got Frs. Louro Norberto and Joao de Nascimento. Unfortunately for us, but fortunately for the entire Imc Congregation, after spending six months with us, Fr. Louro Norberto was elected the General Councilor in charge of Africa during the chapter of 1999 which took place in Sagana (Kenya). His departure to Rome made Fr. Francisco Adelino da Conceicao part of the novitiate community. On December 29, 1999 we all did our first profession. As days keep on going very fast, at the moment we remain eight Consolata Missionaries from our group as novices. We are currently involved in the following regions: Fernando M’Zee Paolo (Brasile – Curitiba Parish); Leandro Chequela ( I left him in Ethiopia and he is in Gambo Parish); Kuzenza Daudi Faustine (Portugal – Cacem Centro Missionario); Msumange Godfrey (Italy – Vittorio Veneto Centro Missionario); Brown Mvanda Cyprian (D.R.Congo – Rector in Seminario Filosofico); Cyrille Kayembe (Italy – Martina Franca Centro Missionario); David Bambilikpinga (Roraima – Regional Administrator) and Jean-Marie Bilwala (Kenya – Studies in Communication). Sharing and communicating with some of the novitiate friends and Confreres, we all recall the wonderful time and experience gotten together. This leads us to create good relationship among us notwithstanding our responsibilities and differences in places. While celebrating our 11 years of first profession, on behalf of my friends and Confreres, I pray God through the intercession of our Lady Consolata and our Founder, Joseph Allamano, to always keep all of us under His Loving Care! Parabems a todos!
